Our class reunion (October 16-18 weekend) just happens to hit in the middle of this craziness. Scarecrow days started a few years ago and has really caught on in the Fallbrook and Bonsall areas. It is something more to see in your wanderings around town!
Scarecrow Days – for more information and a video from last year click here
Colorado Classmates Ed Roe, Danny McCullough, Dona (Woodrey) Bolton & Curtis Emge gathered for a mini-reunion in the Denver area. Mike & Linda (Love) Leborgne were unable to attend.
Currently all, except Curtis, are planning on being in Fallbrook for the 50th Reunion this October. Curtis says he will be in the middle of a construction project.
If you haven’t sent in your registration, get moving. Some are making major travel arrangements to be here, if you’re still in the Southwest and driving it’s not too much of a challenge (except for the California gas prices). All of the registration information is on the class website (linked in the blog menu).
It’s already June — Just a reminder that the registration fee for our reunion will jump up ten dollars per person on the first of July. That’s a hint – register now and save a few bucks.
Time’s running out!
Your reunion committee met recently at Pala Mesa Resort, we are starting to iron out the details necessary for our 50th reunion. It takes a lot of little things coming together at the same time to make this happen.
We want to thank those of you that have been able to contribute a little extra towards this event. If you have not sent your reservation forms in yet (!!!!) please don’t skip over that extra contribution line.
The registration forms for the Reunion Reservation and the BBQ are on the class website. Remember also, to visit the Fallbrook Alumni Association website to learn what they are doing for the students at FUHS – we do recommend that you join the Fallbrook alumni Association.
The class website has been fixed so it should now be much easier to view on your various devices.
Jim & George met at the Vintage Car Show that was held at Pala Mesa Resort, it really showed us that Pala Mesa Resort can handle an event. They had nearly 450 entry vehicles and probably 10 times that number in visitors attending the show.
Jim’s been at it again with a new list: Coming or not 6/26/15

If so, please register soon. The registration fee will increase to $35 per person on July 1st.
Reminder to check our class webpage: www.fuhs1965.com Lots of good info there, as well as the registration forms. Feel free to comment on items on the Blog.
While you are there, please take a look at the “Class Lists” tab. We are still trying to locate most of the classmates listed on pages 3 and 4. Any help would be much appreciated!

P.S. Pala Mesa Resort has a special room rate for us for the Reunion. You can contact them at 800-722-4700, and be sure to mention the Reunion to get the room discount. There is also a Quality Inn about ½ mile south of Pala Mesa.
The calendar just keeps marching on towards our 50th Reunion (October 16-18). The registration forms are now available, on our website.
April means AVOCADO FESTIVAL in Fallbrook on the 19th. Imagine Fallbrook with 60K of visitors, in the streets downtown!!!
The Fallbrook Vintage Car Club is having their 50th Car Show on May 24th, the featured cars will be THE BEST OF 1965 – they have also chosen Pala Mesa Resort for their 50th event.
We have made our initial deposit to Pala Mesa Resort, and that has pretty much depleted our account – If you can make an extra contribution to our 50th Reunion to help us make this a great event, it would be greatly appreciated (see our website for contribution information)
Time is flying by, we are now only 7-months out from our reunion in October.
Jim Price (our fearless leader) has been tireless in assembling data lists to get in touch with our classmates. (the newest lists have been posted). He and Joan are currently taking a break, off looking at one of the world’s largest collections of 1950’s cars, I’m sure he will have quite a tale when you meet him at the reunion in October.
Early in April we will be having our committee meeting at the Pala Mesa Resort, to get an overview of the layout and what we will have available for the reunion in October. And we will be posting the Registration Forms.
If you can contribute a little extra to the reunion fund, it would help us greatly, click on the “CONTRIBUTE $” tab at the bottom of our website and follow the directions. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to those who have already donated some.
Unfortunately, our Memoriam List just keeps getting longer – we heard of more just recently.
We still have about 100 classmates that either have dropped off the face of the earth or never learned how to communicate back to us. If you know the whereabouts of those on the missing list, please help us out.
Your Reunion Committee has been hard at work, and now it’s time to get serious about planning our Reunion. As people say these days, “Let’s Do This!”

Your Class of ’65 Reunion Committee: Scott Atkins, Bob Bekins, Cyndy Amon Brenneman, Peggy Drew Durling, Jim Price, George Ward, Trish Yzerman – let us know if you would like to help.
The reunion committee has chosen these dates in order to coordinate with the Fallbrook Alumni Association and the Alumni Picnic at Live Oak Park on the 18th. Our website is www.FUHS.com
We are in process of choosing venues for the weekend. If you have not been to Fallbrook, it has changed a lot in the last 50 years. Also, you may run into classmates from other years as the Alumni Picnic has become quite a draw.
We have currently about 85 good addresses and are trying to get information out by direct e-mail. If you haven’t received any information, please use the contact form on the website, or if you know the whereabouts of a classmate please contact them and have them reach us through the contact form.
We recommend that you join the Fallbrook Alumni Association, there is a link on the home page of our website. And, watch for the reservation information there about the BBQ Picnic.
